Getting Started

Do you want to write a book? Do you think you might have a story to tell or a piece of wisdom to impart?

I believe that everyone has something to say - a story to tell or a lesson to give. If you have always wanted to write but just didn't know where to begin, start slow. Make brief journal entries every day, a sentence or two. Do writing challenges like the one we just started.

Allow yourself to daydream for several minutes every day - go to fantasy land in your mind, disengage your logical thought process and allow yourself to wonder "what if?"

Writing is a weird little science, but it is very fulfilling. Make small goals and then see where it takes you. And don't worry about being perfect, don't worry about writing good stuff, or if your stuff is good enough.

Steven King said, "Don't write it right, just write it, you can make it right later." Such a good piece of advice.

Have an awesome day,
