Casting a Spell

Set your intention by deciding what you want.

Correspondences: Gather and place on altar

Oils

Stones

Herbs

Incense

Colors – altar cloths, candles,

Moon Phase, Day of week, time of day, sun sign

Tools: Place on the altar in corresponding directions and elements. Athame – Air, East, Incense. Wand – Fire, South, Candles. Chalice – Water, West, Brews. Disk – Earth, North, Pentacle Disk (plate,) Cakes.

Set up your altar.

Make sure you have all needed/wanted items, tools, supplies, etc.

Go to the bathroom, get a drink of water, turn your phone off, put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.

Smudge the area and yourself if you think you need it.

Cast your circle.

Light candles and incense.

Call The Directions and Elements. This step is NOT optional.

Call gods and desired beings. This step is entirely optional in a personal spell.

Visualize your desired outcome.

 Do whatever activity your spell calls for.

Say your incantation.

Visualize your desired outcome. Visualize your desired outcome. Visualize your desired outcome.

Allow candles and incense to burn out on their own if possible.

Thank and dismiss gods and Others.

Take down your circle.

For the next month light the candles and incense on the altar each day and spend thirty minutes or so visualizing your desire.

Physiology of a Spell

1. All tools, all correspondences, candles, colors, fragrances, visualization etc. work to bring you into a deep focus. And carry with them their own vibration toward your goal.

2. This focus creates emotion. How you feel is your power.

3. Power is energy, vibration and light – focus on emotions.

4. Vibration is attractive, reverberating out into the Universe to echo back to you that which you desire.

5. As you sit in your circle each day, visualizing your desire, you reinforce and fortify your emotion.

6. Then wait in joy that you have ALREADY received that which you desire.
