Your Best Friend

Good morning, everyone!

Healing truth for the day - the antidote to self-loathing.

Sometimes we are our worst critics, believing (and saying out loud,) "I'm such an idiot," or "I'm so stupid because made that decision," and the list of self-deprecating statements go on forever. The cellular vibration of these statements, and the beliefs behind these statements, can make you ill.

Here is a thought given to me by my psychotherapist when I was so mentally ill, I hated myself so much I couldn't even stand to be in the same room with myself. She asked me one day, "what would you say to Aylah if you were her best friend?" That question changed my life and the whole landscape of my illness.

What would you say to yourself in that moment of self-deprecating, self-loathing, if you were your best friend? If this is confusing for you, think about the way you talk to your friends. I counter the statements my friends make when they are in that place with statements to the opposite - "you are not an idiot," or "okay you made a bad decision, but you learned from it." Sometimes we are more kind and more compassionate to our friends then we are to ourselves. But that kindness and compassion really, REALLY needs to start with us first.

We need to be our own best friend, our best advocate, and our best parent. Self-love is the most important aspect of your healing and will raise your cellular vibration faster than any other topic on the road to your health and healing.

Have an awesome day.

I love you,

Goddess Aylah
